5) What if I book a room and do not show up or have to cancel?

6) What happens if I arrive late?
• If you know you are going to be late for your booking, please give us a courtesy phone call so we don’t give your time slot away. (618)416-7300
• Your game will start at its designated time and your game will be played in its remaining time.
• We will also try to reschedule your game if there is another open slot that day.

7) When should I arrive?
Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled booking time. For example, if your room is at 6:00 pm, please be in the building by 5:45 pm. That way, you have enough time to sign in, use the restrooms, and hear all the rules.

8) What are your hours?
Regular business hours are:

Thursday: 3:00pm – 9:30pm
Friday: 3:00pm – 9:30pm
Saturday-Sunday: 11:00am – 9:30pm

We are open major holidays except for the following:
Easter
4th of July

Christmas

9) Will my group be alone?
Yes. The rooms are book solely for you and your group.

10) What happens if I show up with more players than I book with?
There is a max capacity of players per room at a time, and a minimum. Should extra players arrive after booking, as long as they don’t surpass the room’s capacity, they are more than welcome to join your group. Please try to have a firm or as close to a firm count of players as possible before booking so we can accommodate the rooms accordingly.

11) What is the appropriate age to play?
Recommended ages are 10 years old and up. If a group of minors are playing, an adult must accompany them in the room for supervision and safety.

12) Can I bring a baby or a toddler into the room?
No. The rooms are not designed for small children or infants. Some rooms use special effects, and we do not wish to scare or harm the little ones.

13) Do I need to sign a release of liability?
Yes. All players must sign a release of liability form. Minors must have a legal adult (18+) signature as well.

14) Will someone monitor my group at all times?
Yes. There is a designated Game Master who will be your guide through the time of play. Should you need clues or assistance, your Game Master will be able to help resolve any needs of the room.

15) Can we take photos or videos inside the room?
We do not allow video or photos to be taken while inside the room, as we do wish to keep clues and puzzles a surprise for future players. However, the lobby spaces and hallways are perfectly acceptable for video and photo ops. If the Game Master sees this rule violated, however, the game will end, and you will be asked to leave the room. There will be NO refunds given for your expulsion. Posting/sharing instructions on how to play the room(s) is also strictly prohibited.

16) Can I tell my friends how the room was?
We encourage sharing your experience with others, however, we do ask that you keep certain elements to yourself. Please share how much fun you had, but we don’t want you ruining some of our awesome surprises and puzzles for future players. Please be mindful of what details you share. That does include posting/sharing information on social media platforms as well. Don’t spoil the game for others.

17) Are the rooms safe?
Yes. The rooms are built and designed with your safety in mind. We do recommend that you follow basic common curtesy rules, such as (but not limited to): No running, climbing (unless the room permits), or damaging the room by breaking props, equipment, or technology.

18) What if I break something?
We understand that accidents happen, but it is no accident if you blatantly break a prop or object due to neglect, frustration, or simple tom foolery. You will be charged for damages made to any prop, set piece, or technological equipment due to recklessness. Please be respectful, as each prop/element is handmade/built, and not easily replaceable.

19) Is an escape room scary?
Generally, no. Escape rooms are tended more towards themed puzzle solving challenges that advance the story of a room. They are typically not designed to frighten you. We do have (at the moment) one room that is catered more to scare tactics, such as scare actors and “scary” design elements. Please refer to our scare chart for each room description to find the right “scare level” for your group.

20) Can I bring food/drink into the room with me?
You are allowed to bring outside food or drink into the building, however, you will not be permitted to bring said items into the game room itself, as they will be a hindrance to you, other players, and the experience.

21) Am I excluded from playing if my mobility is limited?
Absolutely not. All of our rooms are ADA compliable. “Escape 618” is a family friendly facility for everyone, regardless of mobility.

22) Where do I park?
There are two free public parking lots available. One is directly behind the Lincoln Theatre, and the other is directly behind the “Escape 618” building, commonly referred to as Ben’s parking lot. Please note, there is street parking available, but those spots are limited to one hour parking limits, and are reserved mainly for the short term shoppers along East Main Street.
