Yes, Escape 618 offers $5 off per person with a valid military ID, bringing the price down to $30 instead of $35. This rate is open to units, squadrons, and families connected to Scott AFB, along with service members from other bases.
Anyone with a valid military ID gets the $30 rate. This applies whether you’re booking as an individual, part of a squadron, or a military family planning an outing together. The rate isn’t limited to one base. If you’re coming straight from a shift, there’s no need to change first. Uniforms are welcome at check-in.
If your unit wants a real test of communication under pressure, the Jail Cell is built for that. Players wake up locked in separate cells and have to describe what they see and ask teammates for what they need to get free. It holds 4 to 8 people, and only about a third of teams make it out before time runs out, so expect a challenge.
If you’re bringing a family with kids 10 and older, Detention is the easier fit. It’s open to ages 10 and up, holds 4 to 12 players per room, and skips the scares and sudden lighting changes. About three out of four teams escape, making it a lighter option for mixed ages.
Every booking at Escape 618 is private, so your unit plays on its own, never mixed in with other customers. Plan for 75 to 90 minutes total. That covers checking in, signing a digital waiver, getting a briefing from your game master, and then 60 minutes on the clock once the game starts. Everyone gets a free group photo afterward, win or lose.
If your group is too big for one room, you don’t have to split into separate trips. Escape 618 can run multiple rooms at once, or you can book the whole building, with room for up to 40 players across four rooms at the same time. That makes it workable for a larger unit, not just a small team.

The $30 rate applies to players who show a valid military ID at check-in. If you're not sure who in your family group qualifies, give us a call before you book.
Uniforms are welcome. You can come straight from duty without needing to change beforehand.
Yes. Every room requires at least 4 players to book, the same minimum that applies to any group.
Walk-ins are sometimes possible, depending on what's open that day. Booking ahead is the safer bet, since weekends and holidays fill up first.

We recommend booking 1-2 weeks ahead for groups, and earlier for weekends, holidays, and October. Short notice? Call (618) 416-7300 and we’ll always try to make it work.
Yes. Group events can be scheduled any day, any time, by appointment, including Monday through Wednesday when we’re normally closed. Call or email to set a time.
Yes. Book the whole building and every room is yours, with no other groups in the lobby. A full buyout holds up to 40 players at once: The Jail Cell (4-8 players), our two Detention rooms (4-12 players each, 24 total), and The Haunted House of Alice (4-8 players).
Yes, and it’s all free. The best spot is the lot right behind our building (the old Ben’s / Belleville Public Library lot). There’s also unmetered street parking all around us and a big lot behind the Lincoln Theatre, a short walk away.
Tickets are $35 per player plus tax. Military with ID is $30, and kids 10-12 in Detention are $25. To book, you pay one $35 ticket up front, and the rest is due after the game. Pay all together, split it up, or have us invoice your company. We accept tax-exempt paperwork and can provide documents for your records on request. Schools, nonprofits, and large corporate events can get custom pricing, so call for a quote.
During regular hours, food and drinks aren’t allowed in the lobby, but your group is welcome at our 8 outdoor picnic tables out front. For private events outside regular hours, let us know ahead of time and we can approve food and drinks inside. Need a party room? Sugar High, Bennie’s Pizza, Papa Vito’s, Casa Maria, Grüv, and Copper Fire are steps away on Main Street.
Most group requests come back within one business day. Standard single-room bookings can be made on the booking page.
